I thought all the kids on the show last night should be very proud of themselves. Well, maybe except when Taylor when she said she (beauty queen)does not do dishes. She can be a front run contender for Miss Teen USA North Carolina! All kidding aside, they showed tolerance, compassion, the work ethic, cooperation, and intelligence. The best part, aside from Sylvia (?) dancing for $ to buy the bike, was when the council still kept their original vote to give her the prize money, and respected her verbal criticism with grace right before they gave her the big prize $. They understood where her frustrations were coming from and did not take it personally. I especially loved all the kids who tried so hard to get the youngest one to stay. Now, my predictions, are that soon the older kids will take over, We'll see! Also, I'd love to know if CBS reedited it after all the hype against the show to make it look cute and sweet.
Lloyd:
Taylor is from Georgia but that's not what I want to talk about. Her name is Taylor Ann DuPriest and she was (among many things) Miss Georgia America's Sweetheart in 2005 for her age group. She finished 5th overall in the national competition and 4th in modelling. In my humble opinion, unless she changes in future episodes, future judges will remember her as the abrasive kid in Kids Nation.
